Abortion: Right to choose
In 1973, the United States Supreme Court ruled in the Roe v Wade case that “abortion throughout the duration of pregnancy is legally permissible” (Partial Birth 1). Even though the Supreme Court ruled that abortion is legal there are still many who feel that this type of action is unjust and immoral. Pro-life supporters believe it is wrong to take the life of an unborn baby. They feel that the life of the baby should be protected
and restrict the pursuit of happiness. All things considered, it can be assumed that no law or right is guaranteed or absolute. This entails that even the right to life is not secure, and it can be taken from an individual. If there is no absolute right to life then abortion should be considered as a way of taking a life. So the question now is it a woman’s choice or the government’s.
