Consequently, I did not find it surprising that the teachers who had received instructional training had a higher student achievement gain than the teachers who taught as they normally had. However, this was a little frightening to find that the teachers who taught the “normal” way did not have high achievement rates. I think that this leads to the conclusion that teachers should be lifelong learners and always assess their teaching styles.
