Aging Parents

I have seen and heard of many, in fact, unbelievably more than what I expect, ‘old folks’’ homes in almost all countries in the world. Though I have not yet gone on a world tour to observe and confirm what I have been hearing from friends about the poignant and heartbreaking sight of the ‘old folks’ who have been neglected by their children, I have been kept well informed by the mass media. …looked after, they need company, attention and affection. Thus if we can just spare a couple of hours a week, spend sometime with them, read out to them and connect them with the world, it will go a long way in helping them, making them more cheerful and giving them a sense of continuity. We all want to feel wanted and loved. And I am sure that they, too, want to feel the same way.
