Alexander Graham Bell

Alexander Graham Bell (1847-1922) Alexander Graham Bell was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, on March 3rd 1847. After Bell's two brothers died of tuberculosis, and he was threatened by the disease himself, his family moved to Ontario, Canada in 1870. By 1900, Bell Telephone had situated over 800,000 phones in America. The Bell System was the largest employer in the USA at that time. When Bell died in 1922 in Nova Scotia, all phone services across the US were interrupted for one minute in his respect.
