…destruction caused by General Sherman’s “March to the Sea” would take years to repair, but eventually it to would dealt with. The Civil War was the bloodiest in the history of our country. It destroyed our land, our families, and our lives. They say we are doomed to repeat what we don’t learn from the past. I hope we have learned that there are other ways than war to resolve our national differences.
