This is a story that clearly shows how time ticks away and how some people are willing to move on with the changing of times and some people resist. The citizens of Jefferson though changing were still intermingled with old and new. As the new generation attempted to move into a more modern time they were still grasping backwards, holding on to the past with a fascination that never let it completely fade.
