I would have never expected Finny to die mainly because I saw him as a main character and I thought that by making Finny die they ended the story at that specific point. …his war was over. His enemy in some way went with Finny. To me when he says a “Separate Peace” he really means that he has to find a separate peace for himself in some way. I believe that he did achieve his separate peace in the story. He may have achieved his peace better if Finny hadnt of died. I think that all the blame from Finnys death had some effects on Genes peace.
