Animal Farm
Animal Farm Book Report George Orwell’s Animal Farm is a political satire of a society ruled by a mighty dictatorship, in all probability a fable for the events surrounding the Russian Revolution. The animals of “Manor Farm” overthrow their master after a long history of mistreatment. Led by the pigs, the farm animals continue to do their work, only with more pride, knowing that they are working for themselves, as opposed to working for
the rebellion and figures of idolization because they were seen as the key to new lives. Unfortunately, as with the pigs, power corrupted and the people were affected directly. From this book, I learned that power, in the hands of a few, is corrupting and does nothing to benefit the those who are passive enough to let it oppress them. I would highly recommend this novel to anyone because a valuable lesson may be learned.
