…one. The windmill, which started out as a plan to improve the animals’ lives on Animal Farm, was turned into a tool of propaganda for Napoleon. He used the plan that Snowball constructed to gain respect and recognition, and also to silence the animals’ will to revolt as he tunneled away at their hopes. The purpose of the windmill, once under Napoleon’s hands, was no longer a structure of pride and unity, but suffering.
