Both artists have used the application of their colors to their advantage in creating emotion merely through its use. Whether the colors are blended like Monet’s or choppy and brilliant as Van Gogh’s are, both artist's used an extreme color palette to bring forth the ideal emotions and/or physical standing of the world around them.
