The technology of the future will do things that seem “mad” to most of us today. Our ability to create artificial intelligence is increasing exponentially. In the labs of prestigious institutions across the country, scientists try to create a computer that will replace the brain. This futuristic technology may not be far off; however, it faces harsh opposition by people afraid of what they don’t understand. The idea of living past my short window …

…will be soon. It is foreseeable that such technology will exist in the lifespan of my generation. I wish scientific pioneers, such as, Moravec and Minsky luck with their research. I would like to live forever. I wouldn’t think twice about ditching my mortal body, to be able to do the things that I have only dreamed about. It doesn’t matter how old I am, I’d still be too young to die!
