Eastern and western societies have been in constant conflict with one another in moral and social issues. One recurring issue is the role that women should play in society. …to say too much and to be pleasing to one’s spouse is a quality that all women should have, but that does not mean that they should hade behind the shadows if their men. Men and women should both strive to be independent and at the same time show loyalty and devotion to their families. Asian American women are rediscovering themselves and are beginning to reshape the society that has been shaped by men.
