Basketball originated in the late thirties or early forties, I think. Back then there were no rules or exceptions to the game. People just played it because they loved it. …want to play and did not care what conditions may apply. If someone said the word basketball, you were there. There is a saying I like to say when comparing the levels of basketball. It defines the meaning of the game as I see it. It states “ In the NBA you make money and in college you get the fame, but I love high school basketball the most were it is still just a game”.
