Barn Burning

William Faulkner’s wrote “Barn Burning” identifies the relationship between rich and poor. Abner Snopes is a cold person and he doesn’t care about other people feelings and his character is violent. He likes to take revenge from the rich people and he goes burn thier barns. “to the amount of ten bushels of corn over and above your contract with him, to be paid to him out of your crop at gathering time”, …

As he was a lawless person, Abner's act of breaking the law begins when he was supposed to be fighting in the Civil War, When Abner returned home, he continued his act of breaking the law. Abner’s violation and breaking the laws habits were unchanging that he couldn’t stop himself in the whole story and his these habits in the end of the story becomes the reason of his death.
