Blacks in America

It is no secret that African Americans in the land currently known as the United States have been abused and mistreated for centuries. Some of the most horrific displays of the loss of humanity and respect for life have found their victims in the African American community. There are some preventative laws that attempt to ensure that blacks receive fair treatment, such as affirmative action, but these laws cannot protect them from criminal offenses. The prejudices of people run deep, and no law or after-school TV special can change these views of ignorance.
