Even though, this may have been a gruesome story, still it is a fairy tale with a happy ending. Blue Beard, of course, is killed but the wife lives happily ever after with her family, enjoying the riches. Through deception and curiosity this fairy tale will continue to grasp the attention of many for centuries.
