…Bible. Chauntecleer experienced some of the same feelings that Jesus did on his missions and journeys in the Bible. Cockatrice was cast into Hell just like Alexander was in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible. Both Cockatrice and Alexander battled against the good side, ironically they both were sent to Hell. Wangerin’s writing is very powerful because it keeps the reader involved and wondering about the unpredictable things that will surely happen next.
