The three stories that are to be discussed contrast in several different ways. The stories of Bruce Evans, and Jean Crawley, differ from those of Grant McRae for several different reasons. …we have at our disposal. Anyone can read a textbook and find out that so many people died at this battle, or this country toppled this country on this date. It is all relevant to history, but without these first hand accounts it is impossible to know what was really going on in this war. Without these first hand accounts the war is merely ink on paper, not blood, sweat, and tears on the ground.
