INTRODUCTION Imagine living in a world without parents, a place full of faceless human clones. This is the society portrayed in Aldous Huxley's 1932 novel, “Brave New World”. Huxley describes a futuristic “Utopia” that has an alarming effect of dehumanization. His vision of drugs and alcohol in 1931, reveal a similar perception, seventy-one years later, of today’s society. This element of society is not exactly identical to the Brave New World. Although if the problem of drug and alcohol use continues to increase, then it is quite daunting what we could end up resembling.
