Brazil’s government is a federal republic. They are a federation with 26 states and a federal district. Brazil’s federal constitution was enacted on October 5, 1988 and developed a democratic political system with periodic elections for public offices. Brazilians tend to view time more as a sequence of events rather than hours or minutes, which often makes then extremely casual about being on time to events. Brazil has many sports, just like the United States, but there is one sport they love, soccer. Soccer is called futebol in Brazil.
