It is clear that people such as jury members and judges in America who are responsible for sentencing are reluctant to administer the death penalty. Also, the forms of capital punishment are becoming less and less agonizing. Doesn’t this mean that capital punishment has lost its true purpose, or is it a gradual evolutionary process for mankind?
