…the people were still miserable with their living conditions.         The late nineteenth-century was a time of great change for America. Many new products changed the lifestyle of the rich. The poor people got screwed however, and formed organizations to fight the system. The era of capitalism and big business did not produce enough change for the common person until corporations were fought through unions.
