Censorship of the Press

The First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States reads, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances” and yet, over the last two centuries, congress has attempted to do all of the above on many occasions. …

…on crimes committed by wealthy corporations, or perhaps someone who even finds it logical to eliminate the First Amendment all together. For that reason alone it is important to step very cautiously when allowing anyone to interfere with the inalienable rights granted by the Constitution of the United States. If we allow even a smidgen of a right to be taken away, we could end up facing a future where all our rights are gone.
