He brought a fresh attitude to the comedy scene and incorporates social issues that were once thought inappropriate to joke about. He’s made a very successful career out of joking about today’s issues while raising the standard for comedians. While some people regret embracing his type of comedy, they “have to live with [Rock] even though he makes them uncomfortable” (187).
