I enjoyed this film because it focuses a lot on the blacks in the black and white instead of making a happy go lucky black and white film, which I feel would ruin the point Welles was trying to make. A lot of shadows are used and obscure lighting techniques were used which I found very fascinating and visually pleasing, to see the change in style.
