City versus Country

For years people have argued over whether the best place to live is in the country or in the city. I believe the answer to this dispute lies in the people that inhabit each of these communities and their differences in time spent at work, familiarity with neighbors, and control of their environment. Bubba Brown, the dawn ‘til dusk, hard working, country boy who knows all of his neighbors, knows he cannot control his environment. …

…and loses the ability to remain calm. This difference is not a very obvious one, but is an important factor in distinguishing between country and city dwellers. Bubba and Thomas exemplify the differences between country folks and city folks. They do this through their hours spent working, knowledge of their neighbors, and control over their environment. These two men’s contrasting ways are what make the city and the country different in places to live.
