Afghan history before the politically critical period that began in 1973 could be broken into five distinct time periods. Afghanistan was a center of cultures, and mesh pot of ethnicity and religion. One triumphed and that was Islam and the religion of Allah, this is what shaped what is present day Afghanistan when Islam was introduced in 652 AD religion is the center of Afghanistan’s evolution and culture.
