Collapse of The Roman Republic
Collapse of the Roman Republic The Roman Empire began in 509 B.C. and lasted till the 6 B.C. The Romans who were highly inspired by the Greeks adapted their governing system. The Senate was composed of large land owning aristocrats that composed laws that
prevent the destruction of the Roman Republic but brought a faster fate. Rome, an empire that had everything going for it, destroyed itself because of political corruption and a poor set up economy. Rome could have prevented its downfall by having a less aggressive foreign policy and creating more jobs from creating fewer slaves. If they spent more time exporting goods and developing a better economy they could have prevented years of poverty and anguish.
