…Spain, and they sent someone from Spain to see what the problem was. When the people from Spain arrived in Hispaniola, they arrested Columbus and took him back to Spain in chains. A while later he cleared himself from jail and set sail on his fourth and final voyage. On the day of May 20, 1506 Columbus passed away in Valladolid, a city in Spain. Unfortunately to this day no one knows exactly where Columbus is buried.
