Communications essay

Throughout the class, we have been describing communication as a transactional process. Transactional is a very key word—this is meaning more than one action involved in the process, meaning listening, speaking or use of symbols. Communication is socially negotiated, agreed upon symbols working in two or more directions, helping to communicate meaning, understanding, or explanation. …to vote, who to elect and so on. It is important for the news to be edited, though you may not always agree with the stories they run, they run and edit them for a certain purpose. I think that this also puts the listener in a position: I think that it’s important to be an active listener, and do not just believe everything that you hear because its coming from a news studio.
