Comparison of Dylan Thomas’s Poetry
While reading the poems “Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night” and “The Force that through the Green Fuse Drives the Flower”, I noticed some similarities and many differences. I will attempt to bring some of these under higher scrutiny, and try to explain them as best I can. The first subject I would like to look at is theme. In “Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night”, I believe that the theme
straggling flowers and sympathize with them. He regrets that he cannot say that he is caught in the same process of aging as they are, only at a different stage. Any way you look at it, different poems and other writings always have similarities and differences.
