…the Nicaean Council, which helped to establish a religious peace, and he was able, with the aid of his mother Helena, to honor Christ’s resurrection by building the Church of the Holy Sepulcher on the site. A church that even today stands in beauty and holds worshippers. I believe that despite Constantine’s intentions, he gave a freedom to his people that will outstand any other; the freedom to worship the one true God.
