Cultural Center Report

African American community has the longest racial experience compared with any other racial groups in United States. Therefore as a student it is necessary for us to learn more about African culture and history which will help us to realized how African American community faced prejudice and discrimination against dominant group whites. University is the place where many different countries student’s come for education and learn about various cultures by mixing with the university …

…and Latino people African’s are also depriving from their rights and benefits such a long period of time. But African community is not complaining about it every time like Asian’s or Latino’s does. I felt like Asian and Latino cultural center reminds us “we are Asian and Latino and we are the minority”. But, I did not feel that African American cultural center’s speaker reminds us the fact of minority issue.
