David Crockett

David Crockett was born in Green County, Tennessee near the mouth of Limestone Creek on the Nolichucky River (Hause, Early Life page). John and Rebecca Crockett’s son was born on August seventeenth 1786. David’s grandparents were killed by the Creek and Chickamuga Indians before he was born. His uncle James Crockett was held captive by the same Indians until David’s father found him and was forced to purchase him back (Early Life page). …

…film features were also made. Six Disney film features were aired over the years (Hause, Sources). The most famous movie to the story of David Crockett was The Alamo where he was played by The Duke himself John Wayne. There is another full length movie being made in the near future. The role has not been cast yet though. It would be safe to say it can’t be anyone more famous than The Duke.
