In the novel, Death of a Salesman, we become familiar with a rather dysfunctional family known as the Lomans. The head of this household, and perhaps the main reason for the mishaps of this family, is Willy Loman. Willy experiences very difficult times throughout the book and seems to bring the rest of his family down with him. …much Willy impacted his family while alive, one can only wonder now that he has killed himself, how his family would fare. When taking all of the aforementioned material into consideration, it would almost seem obvious that it would be for the betterment of his family. Willy really could be compared to an anchor on his family and that perhaps without him it will alleviate some of that “excess weight” that he instilled upon them.
