Depression

I've never really had any challenges in my life before last year. That sounds hard to believe, but it's true; I've had it suprisingly easy. The past twelve months, though, have made up for all the challenges I've never had to face. Depression is such a cruel punishment. There are no fevers or rashes to send people scurrying in concern. …I'm still changing and who knows, maybe someday I'll be able to live without my medicine. There is one thing that has helped me cope when things have gotten pretty tough. The night that I was admitted into the hospital after my overdose, as I was climbing into bed, the night nurse looked into my miserable eyes and said “I can sum up everything I know about life in three words - it goes on.”
