As our society more commonly accepts these break-up of marriage vows, the sacredness of them has continued to lose credibility. As divorce becomes more and more accepted in our society the basic functions and responsibility of a family and the parents are changing. If this trend does not stop, these effects will continue to lead to the break down of the family unit in American society.
