…the world would be more peaceful. The authors claim that because citizens don’t really have a say in the day to day government life, their views don’t get addressed. They also look into elected leaders who have a poor economic performance. They believe this makes them more likely to join a war. They believe the leader is trying to distract voters from the economic issues and hope it would help them get reelected.
