Drama is a species of literature whose basic medium is spoken language. Moreover, drama can be read, somewhat like a poem or novel. But the word “drama” actually comes from the Greek word meaning “act.” Drama as a complete work of art exists in the presentation. Its success depends on interpreters, such as directors and actors, who intervene between the dramatist and the audience. We have to take what is offered from them. Thus, much …

By not only defining but also analyzing each aspect of a tragedy, this let me decide whether or not a tragedy can exist without one of the six elements and lead me to believe more than just that. It allowed me to analyze the drama Antigone itself. By analyzing this piece, I was able to see the drama as more than some old Greek play and as a piece of art instead.
