Dream In “I Have A Dream” martin Luther King Jr. writes on effective argument because he uses pathos. Ethos and Logos is the backing, which strengthens the argument. This speech is very emotional because it expresses how King and other Negroes feel. His issue is, African Americans were promised their citizenship rights, but never received the reality of them. The claim in this speech is that “there will be no rest nor tranquility in America …

…Until the bright day of justice emerges”(King 685). In the conclusion King says America will be a great nation if freedom rings. In response to the claim, King starts his sentences with “Let freedom ring”. After that he names cities and their famous geography features. For example, King says “ Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado!”(King 685) If justice emerges then there will be not just bright days, but beautiful days to come.
