Dwight D. Eisenhower
Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 34th President of the United States, was born on October 14, 1890 in Denison, Texas. He was the third of seven sons born to David Jacob and Ida Elizabeth Stover Eisenhower. In 1892, the family moved to Abilene, Kansas where Eisenhower remained until he entered West Point on June 14, 1911. Eisenhower excelled at sports and played football his first two years at West Point. After suffering a knee injury, he dedicated himself to his studies
the US and Russia to exchange blueprints of each other’s military establishments and “provide within our countries facilities or aerial photography to the other country”. He developed an “Atoms for Peace” program where nations would pool their atomic information for peaceful purposes, an initiative that led to the creation of the International Atomic Energy Agency in 1957. After his Presidency, Dwight D. Eisenhower retired to his farm in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania until his death on March 28, 1969
