“Hey! Get off the road Gramps!” This is a statement I have heard many drivers reefer to when driving along side the elderly. I myself am a spectator when it comes to driving and I had always thought that the rude name-calling was a form of ageism from my generation. As I began to pay more attention, even my mother who is 50 years old would often get irritated driving behind a senior citizen. I wanted
the fact that older Americans must be able to get around easier I suggest better public transportation. It seems that both Crane and Cobb came to the same conclusion as I ultimately have; the problem will only get bigger because the only solutions are far too expensive.
