Maliciousness in Society Today Active euthanasia and passive euthanasia are different in the way killing is different from letting die. By removing food and water from someone a doctor is not just killing, he is removing life. This by no means ends the controversy that is euthanasia for many who accept euthanasia in principle worry about the various slippery slopes to unjustified killings if euthanasia were ever instituted into codes or practice of law.
