Excessive Patriotism

I feel excessive pride in being a citizen of the United States is extremely prevalent amongst the majority of the population. In times of war, depression, or massive tragedy it is perfectly logical for the commonfolk to “gel” or have a heightened sense of unity. …Americans hate the cold. After doing the necessary research and insite to write this paper I must admit my standpoint has changed. A state of enlightenment has swept over me. I believe now that our nation today is a strong one and has developed well with the change of time. Reparations have been paid and now we are all equal regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation. I too, am proud to be an American!
