Experiment: Growth Rate of Bra

Abstract Salt solutions in water, and fed to plants, will stunt the growth of the plants. This was tested by feeding different concentrations of salt water to several Brassica rapa plants. The more salt in the solutions, the less the plants grew, and if there is enough salt in the water, the plants died. …plants from each solution used. While a larger experiment set would be more accurate, each of the 20 plants in each set displayed similar results. Therefore, it seems evident that if a farmer’s water supply were intoxicated with .5% salt, the whole crop would be incredibly stunted and wouldn’t yield nearly as much as it would with a pure water supply. Also, if the water supply were 1% salt, the entire crop could be wiped out.
