Farewell to Manzanar
Farewell to Manzanar is Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston's memoir of her experiences during World War II, when Japanese-Americans were held at internment camps because of their ancestry. I found some similar and parallel experiences as Houston had during other national origins when they have war with America. First, for instance, the parallel experience I found as Houston’s experience is the concentration camp in Germany during the World War I. During the World War I, German
nowhere to stay or live. They also were frustrated and confused. The concentration camp is the only place for them to stay and at least felt as a safe place. This is the similarity of Houston’s experience and Jews after the Wars. All these parallel or similarity between Houston’s experience and other passed event are the memories of others. And these similarities will make us remember their lives and experiences of these Wars.
