"Fires in the Mirror"         In the film "Fires in the Mirror" there is the fictive world of the play, this world of the play is set to be as if it were real life, as if it were candid shots of the interviews it portrays. The scenes have a sense of familiarity, in the fact that you can see yourself in an office or a restaurant or even your own home, but the play itself …

…of the event. To me this play does celebrate some good aspects. It shows that even in a time of strife people are going to be there for you, like Al Sharpton and Angela Davis were there for "their" people in a time of need. In my opinion this was a well-written and well-executed play, a little slow at times but the suspense of what is going to happen next keeps pulling you back in.
