…he must have gone about in this way because the narrator of the story, A. Square, had visited flatland and therefore could relate to his readers as the author may have wanted. He comments to his readers about the difficulties that they may experience in understanding Flatland many times, and I believe that by creating Flatland through the process of deleting a dimension he helped his readers to better understand the world as a plane.
