However, by gossiping and claiming Christianity but not following the Word of God, then a person is using His name in vain. …one of a great number of ways a Christian can do this. However, if one breaks the third command they are being hypocritical. Christ wants nothing more than to love people and one should do everything they can to show their appreciation for such dedication. Following the third command is something that comes from the heart and soul and should be ones moral obligation if they are in fact true Christian believers. (C) Ashlee Trost 2002
