Franz Kafka

Franz Kafka, son of Hermann and Julie Kafka who were married in 1882, was born in Prague, July 3, 1883 and died of tuberculosis in an infirmary near Vienna, June 3, 1924. A characteristic that places Kafka in the category of a saint was his absolute faith. In the summer of 1923, Franz was staying in Müritz, the Baltic seaside resort. In 1924, Kafka enters the Hoffmann hospital in Kierling bei Klosterneuburg, on the outskirts of Vienna, where he dies June 3, in his forty-first year.
